Grace Froman

Grace L. Froman, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Vinnie Overton Gribler, was born in McGee on Oct. 12, 1911, and died at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico on Nov. 2, 2002, at the age of 91. Mrs. Froman had lived in the Zalma area all her life until moving to Puxico seven years ago. She was a a retired cook and waitress and had worked at the M & R Restaurant. She was a member of the Jimmerson General Baptist Church at McGee. On March 10, 1929, she was married to Harry C. Froman, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1996. Surviving are three sons, Harry Froman, Jr., Ronald Froman, and Mitchell Froman, all of Zalma; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Visitation was held after 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, with the Rev. Leroy Hefner of McGee officiating. Interment followed in the Jimmerson Cemetery in McGee with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
