Annie L. Presley

Annie L. Presley, the daughter of the late John William and Tyma Jo Sanders Clark, was born in Alabama on June 12, 1911, and died at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tenn., on Oct. 31, 2002, at the age of 91. On Nov. 30, 1929, she was married to Lewe C. Presley, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1972. Mrs. Presley had been a resident of Essex from 1946 to 1968, and then moved to Dexter until 1995. She had been a resident of Union City, Tenn., for the past six years. She was a member of the Olive Branch General Baptist Church near Essex. Surviving are one sister, Aselee Reeser of Union City, Tenn. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Visitation was held after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in the Dexter Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Warren of Dexter officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
