Nelda Shaw

Nelda Lee Shaw, daughter of the late Ralph Winslow Crain and Ruby Kitchens Crain, was born on Oct. 12, 1926, at Bernie and died in the Southeast Missouri Hospital at Cape Girardeau on Oct. 24, 2002, at the age of 76. Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Bob Shaw on Dec. 28, 1943, at Piggott, Ark., and to this union two children were born. Mr. Shaw survives of the home in Dexter. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert ?Pete? Shaw of Dexter and James Rand Shaw of Belleville, Ill.; by one brother, Larry Crain of Malden; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, in the Dexter Church of Christ with Jim Faughn and Dale Grissom officiating. Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
