Alliene Hayes King died Aug. 6, 2002. She was born in Tuttle, Okla., on Jan. 7, 1943, and grew up in Bloomfield. She moved to the Antelope Valley in 1961 where she worked in the restaurant business for 40 years and was the owner of Karen?s Kitchens #2, #3 and #4. She retired from the restaurants in 2000 and has spent the last couple of years traveling, golfing and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Dan; one son, Chris; one daughter, Danielle; her mother Ruby Hayes; six brothers, Robert, Lyres, Dean, Frank, Jimmy and Gary; two sisters, Betty and Mary; and three grandchildren. A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 12, 2002, at 12:00 p.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, Calif. Memorials may be made to one?s favorite charity.
