George Pullum

George L. Pullum, son of the late William and Anna Triplett Pullum, was born at Idalia on Oct. 21, 1926, and died at Missouri Delta Medical Center on Sept. 28, 2002, at the age of 75. Mr. Pullum had spent all his life in the Bloomfield community and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Beech Grove General Baptist Church. On Sept. 27, 1947, he was married to Wanda Cook. Survivors include his wife Wanda Pullum of the home in Bloomfield; one son, Barry Pullum of Bloomfield; one brother, Harry Pullum of Bloomfield; two grandsons, Bill and Neal Pullum, both of Bloomfield; and one great-grandson Colt Pullum of Bloomfield. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Mr. Pullum ws preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Patterson and Venita Stafford, and two brothers, Charles and Jim Pullum. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Lloyd Bowers and Rev. Lonnie Clubb officiating. Interment followed in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia. PAID
