Vida Scott

Vida Scott, the daughter of John Hagy, Sr., and the late Beatrice Scott Hagy, was born in Pontiac, Mich., on April 28, 1947, and died at the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff on Sept. 26, 2002, at the age of 55. Mrs. Scott had lived in Illinois for several years before moving to Dexter nineteen years ago. She moved to Puxico in 1992. She was a member of the Link Full Gospel Church near Bloomfield. On May 12, 1964, she was married to Donald Scott in Noble, Ill. Surviving are her husband, Donald Scott of Puxico; three sons, Donald Scott of Dowagiac, Mich., Joe and John Scott, both of Dexter; two daughters, Sara Watkins of Dudley, and Irene Bolin of Puxico; thirteen grandchildren; eight sisters, Nellie Runyon of Olney, Ill., Juanita Willoghby and Sandra Bayless, both of Quapaw, Okla., Carolyn Fielder of Benton, Doris Price, Cora Magarian, Claudia Scott, and Wanda Drews, all of Dexter; three brothers, John Hagy, Jr. of Dexter, Earl Hagy of Bel-Ridge, and James Hagy of Titusville, Fla. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Vincent and Estel Hagy, and one grandson, Daniel Watkins. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Ilene Moore of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
