Arbrey Clinton Cartwright, son of the late David Daniel Cartwright and Hettie Edgline Black Cartwright, was born on April 11, 1917, in Manila, Ark., and died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at the age of 85. Mr. Cartwright was a member of Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell. He was a retired farmer. On Nov. 21, 1938, he was married to Dathel Loafman in Malden. Mrs. Cartwright preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 1992. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Bates of Bernie; three brothers, Chalmer A. Cartwright and Harold L. Cartwright, both of Wildomar, Calif., and Dawsey R. Cartwright of Selma, Calif.; two sisters, Altha Fitzgerald, of Campbell, and Thelma Ward, of Rialto, Calif.; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cartwright and Clarence Cartwright; one sister, Jewel Cartwright; and one infant granddaughter. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at the Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell with Rev. Bryan Johnson and Rev. Harold Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Campbell. Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of all arrangements.
