The Rev. Troy Wayne Boshears, 46, died at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Born on Oct.. 9, 1955, in Blytheville, Ark., the son of Irene Brewer Boshears of Morehouse and the late Fred Boshears, he had been employed by Tetra Pak in Sikeston and was assistant minister of Beulahland General Baptist Church. On Sept. 12, 1981, in Morehouse he married Georgina Thompson who survives of the home. Other survivors in addition to his wife and mother include two sons, Troy Wayne Boshears, Jr. of St. Louis, and Johnny Thompson of Bertrand; one brother, Fred Wayne Boshears of Itta Bena, Miss.; four sisters, Betty Dodson of Cape Girardeau, Billy Jean Crawford of Poplar Bluff, Gladys Lopez of Cruger, Miss., and Freddie Ann Womack of Yazoo City, Miss.; and five grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Scott Sutton, pastor of the New Life Ministry Church in New Madrid officiated. Interment followed in the Blodgett Cemetery.
