Cleddis Huffman, the son of the late Martin H. and Maudie M. Goldsmith Huffman, was born at Senath on Sept. 23, 1921, and died at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston on Sept. 13, 2002, at the age of 80. On March 29, 1952, he was married to Wilma Brown at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Huffman was a resident of Morehouse for the past 60 years. He was a contract driver for the U.S. Postal Service and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife Wilma Huffman of Morehouse; two sons, Darrell Huffman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Ricky Huffman of Bloomfield; two daughters, Karla Huffman of Bell City, and Patricia Quiroz of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. today, Sunday, Sept. 15. 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Rev. W.H. Worth officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse in charge of arrangements.
