Zelma Christine Carroll, 83, of Blodgett, died on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002 at 10 p.m. at Crowley Ridge Care center in Dexter. She was born on Dec. 15, 1918 in Neelyville to the late John Wesley and Cora Murrell Strayhorn. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the Blodgett Baptist Church. On Dec. 5, 1940 she married Clayton Carroll in Sikeston and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1993. Survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Blasingame of Dexter; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m., Forest Hills Memorial Gardens with Lowell Blasingame of the Church of Christ in Grenada, MS., officiating.
