Ruth Veronia McClard was born at Elsberry, Mo., on Sept. 3, 1934, and died at Bloomfield on Aug. 24, 2002, at the age of 67. Mrs. McClard was a resident of Troy, Mo., for several years but had been a resident of Bloomfield since 1994. She was a charter member of the Bloomfield Lions Club where she remained very active as long as her health allowed. On Nov. 9, 1982, she was married to Thomas ?Sunnie? McClard of the home in Bloomfield. He survives of the home in Bloomfield. Other survivors include one son, Douglas Scott Jones of O?Fallon; one step-son, Thomas Edward McClard, Jr. of Silicon Valley, Calif.; five daughters, Joyce Elaine Cain of Bloomfield, Carol Ann Keeton of Glenn Falls, N.Y., Peggy Lynn Grossback of Winters, Calif., Shirley Jo Enos of Spokane, Wash., and Brenda Gail Hinze of Troy, four step-daughters, Caroline Marie Cainget of Seattle, Wash., Jeanith Ann Mesa of Guam, M.I., Myrtie Teresa Leskew of Nassua, N.H., and Andres Crystal Poggione of Las Vegas, Nev.; 35 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at the Triplett Cemetery near Bloomfield with Rev. Cotus James officiating. Interment followed in the Triplett Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
