Bob Harris

Leonard R. ?Bob? Harris, son of Clifton Pearl Harris and Louise Alma Wilson, was born on November 8, 1930 in Illmo and died Monday August 19, 2002 at his residence in Dexter. Mr. Harris was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had served in the Korean War and was a trainmaster for the Cotton Belt Railroad Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, the H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge number 672 in Cape Girardeau, and the Ainad Shrine in Belleville, Ill. On June 7, 1953, he married Joyce Marie Eakin at Illmo. She survives of the home in Dexter. Other survivors include one brother, Charles Harris, of Poplar Bluff; and one sister Elizabeth Shawan, of Poplar Bluff. The visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston. Following the visitation at 6:30 p.m. will be a Masonic service. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., following a 10 a.m., visitation Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with Dr. William Vail officiating. Interment will follow at the Poplar Bluff Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
