Clarence Lacy

Clarence O. Lacy, born June 19, 1924, at Joiner, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at his residence in Ellsinore. He was a member of the Bethel Chapel Church and formerly worked for Batson Construction. On Oct. 25, 1945, he was united in marriage to Bessie Henderson who preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1969. Survivors include six sons, Dennis Lacy, of Bell City, David A. Lacy, Gary L. Lacy, Crockett Lacy, Eric Lacy, all of Poplar Bluff, and Ronald E. Lacy, of Bell City; one daughter, Bertha J. Lacy, of Ellsinore; two sisters, Ella B. Moss, of St. Louis, and Clyte Kearby of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Bill Lacy of Harrisburg, Ark.; and 17 grandchildren. Visitation was held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Charles Kelly and Rev. Devon Black officiating. Interment followed at Poplar Bluff Cemetery.
