Leslie ?Sonny? Barnett, son of Everett and Nellie Barnett, was born on Aug. 30, 1935 at Bradford, Ark., and died Tuesday, July 16, at Three Rivers Health Care North Campus at the age of 66. Mr. Barnett was of the Pentecostal belief. He was united in marriage to Barbara Jordan on Oct. 7, 1967. She survives of the home in Clarkton. Other survivors include five sons, Mark Morris, of Campbell, John Barnett, of Kennett, David Barnett, of Marmaduke, Ark., James Barnett, of Qulin, Larry Barnett, of Qulin; four daughters, Nellie Brown, of Clarkton, Lezley Barnett, of Clarkton, Norma Knighten, of St. Clair, and Sandy Brown, of St. Louis; mother, Nellie Barnett, of Campbell; two brothers, Edd Barnett, of Campbell, and Ray Barnett, of Parker, Az.; five sisters, Jo Ann Rodery, of Bernie, Eve Krausch, of Cedar Hill, Lois Wink, of Florissant, Berniece Kabak, of Melville, Faye Ochman, of Texas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by three sisters. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 18 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, July 19 with the Rev. Phillip Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
