Alma D. Helton

Alma Deloma Helton, the daughter of the late Walter and Lula Fann Casey, was born in Puxico, Mo., on Dec. 14, 1914, and died at the Puxico Nursing Center on Monday, July 8, 2002, at the age of 87. Mrs. Helton was a member of the Puxico United Methodist Church and also was a member of the Puxico V.F.W. Post #7822 Ladies Auxiliary. On May 8, 1938, she married Fred Leroy Helton at Puxico. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1989. Surviving are one daughter, Freddye Traisnel of Nokesville, Va.; one granddaughter; one sister, Rita Campagna of Puxico; one brother, Doug Fann of Puxico; and a close family friend, Norma Harmon of Puxico. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, July 10, 2002, after 6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. Wiley McGhee of Puxico assisting. Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of all arrangements.
