Ralph Chism

Ralph Chism, 79, of Conway, Ark., was born March 8, 1923, in Lanty, Ark., to the late William H. and Johnnie Victoria Sutton Chism and died July 6, 2002, in his home. Mr. Chism is survived by five daughters, Marilyn Robertson and Dana McMahon of Springfield, Diana Julian of Benton, Ark., Phyllis Howard of Dexter, and Renee Goodman of Conway Ark.; a son, Bill Chism of Springfield; two brothers, Harold and Rayburn Chism; and one sister, Reba Miller, all of Plumerville, Ark.; six granddaughters, seven grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sylvon Boone Chism; three brothers, Athel, Cecil, and M.G. Chism; and a sister; Ruby Truelove. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, at the University Church of Christ with Bill Turner, Mike Morris, and Lendall Bolin officiating. Interment followed on Tuesday, July 9, in the Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, Mo., with the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
