James Clark

James E. Clark of Sikeston, son of the late Joe Kelly and Lois Inez Parker Clark, was born December 5, 1926 in McKenzie, Tenn. and died on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at 3 a.m. at Missouri Delta Medical Center at the age of 75. He was a member of the Smith Avenue Church of God and worked for Mt. Carmel, Illinois Oil Drilling Company for 10 years and then worked for Pryor-Green Land Leveling and Farming Company for several years. He had been a farmer with the Jean Klein Farms and for 14 years worked as a custodian for the Sikeston Public Schools and retired in 1990. He first married Anna Mae Florence on Jan. 11, 1946 and she preceded him in death on Oct.14, 1976. Then on Feb. 4, 1978 in Martin Hills, he married Nanna Fay Shriner who survives of the home. He is survived by 3 sons; Larry E. Clark and Roger Dale Clark both of Cardwell, and Donald Ray Clark of Dexter, one daughter; Donna Kay Haynes of Dexter, one brother; Harold Clark of Granite city, Il. five sisters; Janice Porter of New Castle, Wyo., Jean Wagner and Bonnie Greco both of Mich. City, IN, Sue Tesh of Browns, Il., and Martha Braden of Mt. Carmel, Il., fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, step great-grandchildren, two step sons and four step daughters also survive. He was preceded in death by one son; Gary Clark and two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today on Tuesday, July 2, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston, Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on WednesdayJuly 3, at 2 p.m., at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston, with Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor of the Smith Avenue Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery, with Nunnelee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
