Sarah Bernice Parks, daughter of the late Walter Daniel and Armittie Josephine Wren Shrum, was born at Bloomfield on Oct. 15, 1917, and died at Dexter Friday, June 28, 2002, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Parks was a life-long resident of Bloomfield. Survivors include her children, Don and Alice Parks, Mary and the late Bill Duncan, Shirley and Larry Burton, Ruth Parks, Karen Parks, Bobby and Lesa Parks and Onie Parks, all of Bloomfield, and Bill and Libby Parks of Benton, Mo.; her grandchildren, Tina and Larry Jarrell, Penny Crowe and Aaron Condary, Don ?Buddy? and Angie Parks, Lee and Sheri Parks, Donna and Bobby Aslin, Charles Duncan, Wade and Michelle Parks, Sarah and Charles Woodward, Michelle and Gaylon Bowen, Daniel Parks; great-grandchildren, Larry Don and Vanissia Jarrell, Kenny Jarrell, B.J. Crowe, Nicole Parks, Ashley Parks, Josh Parks, Logan Parks, Cassie Parks, May Parks, Bo Aslin, Nathan Aslin, Ava Parks and Bryce Parks; great-great-grandchildren, Cody Jarrell and Alyssia Jarrell; and two sisters, Dorothy Link and Nellie Wampler. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn her passing. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvil and Hute Shrum; two sisters, Pauline Dorch and Nora Jackson; one grandson, Terry Duncan; and one great-granddaughter, Markita Lynn Crowe. Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6-8 p.m. today Sunday, June 30. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1 at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home, Bloomfield. Burial will follow in the Hollis Cemetery, Acorn Ridge, with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements. Paid
