Linda Lou Carney Fulkerson, daughter of Alice Carney, of Dexter, and the late James H. Carney, was born on April 8, 1947, at Poplar Bluff and died at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on June 17, 2002, at the age of 55 years. Mrs. Fulkerson was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former L.P.N., home-maker and resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Richard Spencer Fulkerson on Nov. 2, 1994 at Pocohontas, Ark. Mr. Fulkerson survives of the home in Dexter. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Shonda Pierce and Tonya Michael, both of Springfield; by her mother, Alice Carney of Dexter; by two brothers, James D. Carney and Kenneth Carney both of Dexter; by three sisters, Phyllis Stewart of Dexter, Becky Carney-Stuart of Anchorage, Alaska and Brenda Elldred of Springfield; and by two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2002. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2002, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
