Byron H. Smith

Byron H Smith, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Juenger Smith, was born in Okawville, Ill., on March 13, 1904, and died at the National Health Care in Maryland Heights on June 14, at the age of 98 years. He was a resident of Puxico for many years before moving to St. Louis three years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico. On April 23, 1927, he was married to Elizabeth Rodgers at St. Louis. She preceded him in death on March 6, 1999. Surviving are one daughter, Betty Muth of St. Louis; three grand-children; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, after 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will be conducted in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 17 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Marshall Link of Puxico officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
