Doris "Dee" West
Doris Dee West, daughter of Patricia Hoffman of Poplar Bluff and John Snyder of Fond Du Lac, Wis.., was born in Birmingham, Ala., on June 11, 1959, and died near Bloomfield on June 10, 2002, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident at the age of 42. A resident of rural Bloomfield, Mrs. West was affiliated with the New Life Cathedral in Dexter, was a veteran of the United States Army, serving six years in Germany, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. She was united in marriage to Danny West on Aug. 10, 1991, at Bloomfield and he survives of the home near Bloomfield. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Jamie West of Springfield, Jason West and Justin West, both of Bloomfield, Shawn West and Bobby West, both of Hillsboro; four daughters, Diana Holderfield of Dexter, Susan Wilson of Jonesboro, Ark., Dawn Wilson of Bloomfield and Angela Wilson of the home in Bloomfield; her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Charles Hoffman of Poplar Bluff; her father and stepmother, John and Patricia Snyder of Fond Du Lac, Wis..; one brother, Jay Snyder of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Lynn Robey of Dexter and Talley Savat of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral chapel with Rev. Michael Foster and Rev. Robert Dehart officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
