W. Ted Rainey

William ?Ted? Rainey of Advance, son of the late Charles and Lula Raver Rainey, was born Aug. 8, 1921 at Advance and died May 22, 2002 at his home, at the age of 81. Ted was a retired farmer. On July 1, 1994 he was united in marriage to Bernice Murphy at Greene County, Ark. and she survives of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, William L. Rainey of Cape Girardeau, Harold F. Rainey of Auxvasse, Mo., James D. Rainey of Glen Allen and Dennis W. Rainey of Kennett; by three daughters, Dorothy Lewis of Sikeston, Brenda Boyer of Advance and Kathy Meesakul of Coca Beach, Fla.; by two brothers, Lowell Rainey of the state of Georgia and Willard Rainey of Advance; by one sister, Francis Sobba of Auxvasse, Mo.; by 12 grandchildren; and by seven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Thursday, May 23 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Morgan Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., Friday, May 24 with Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
