Delores Gilooly

Vivian Delores Gilooly, the daughter of the late W.A. and Tommie Louise Moore Crick, was born in Cross County, Ark. on Sept. 7, 1920 and died at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on May 4, 2002, at the age of 81. Mrs. Gilooly moved to the Trailback Plantation near Essex in 1936 and later moved north of Essex, where she lived for several years before moving to Dexter in 1982. She was employed for many years at the Elders Manufacturing Company in Bloomfield as a floor supervisor and was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ. On July 1, 1942 she was united in marriage to James Hamilton Gilooly and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1986. Surviving are two sons, Elbert Gilooly of Essex and Delbert Gilooly of Bloomfield; one daughter, Carolyn Rodgers of Puxico; one brother, Pervin Crick of Cozad, Neb.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Darron Wade Gilooly in Dec. of 1990. Visitation was held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 6 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted today, Tuesday, May 7 at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with Bro. Herman Morse of Dexter officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
