Robert Claude Montgomery, 38, of Gideon died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at his home in Gideon. He was born July 27, 1963 in Kennett, Mo., the son of Claude Montgomery and the late Elsoner Baker Montgomery. He was married to Debora Banks on Nov. 11, 1986 in Monroe, Geor., and she survives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarkton. Survivors also include one son, Robert Claude Montgomery II and two daughters, Rachel Dawn Montgomery and Ashley Renee Calbert, all of Gideon; three sisters, Freda Mae Montgomery of Gideon, Sonia Kay Hicks of Bloomfield, and Rosetta Ellen Montgomery of Gideon; and one half-brother, Rod Baker of Texas. Visitation was held Saturday, May 4, 2002 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. Funeral services will be today, Sunday, May 5, 2002, at the Bradshaw Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Perry Clark officiating. Internment will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Gideon.
