Carol Carney

Carol Sue Carney, daughter of the late Elvis Coleman and Nina Grubbs Coleman, was born on Sept. 26, 1942 at Dexter and died at her residence at Little Elm, Texas on April 27, 2002, at the age of 59. Carol was a former resident of Dexter, worked as an Optometry Technician and of the Baptist faith. She was united in marriage to James D. Carney on Jan. 13, 1960 at Dexter and to this union three children were born. Survivors include two sons, Paul Carney of St. Louis and Nathan Carney of Kansas City, Kan.; by one daughter, Jamie McLain of Little Elm, Texas; by one brother, Dean Coleman of Little Elm, Texas; and by six grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Wethington. Graveside services will be conducted on May 4 at 10 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery with Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
