Floyd E. Bostic

Floyd Eugene Bostic, son of the late Ben and Katherine Knuckles Bostic, was born at Zalma on Jan. 25, 1929 and died at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on April 14, 2002, at the age of 73. Mr. Bostic had spent most of his life in the Bloomfield Community. He retired from Hudson Furniture Store in Cape Girardeau after 20 years of service. Survivors include three sons, Dale Bostic and Farrell Bostic, both of Bloomfield, and Darrell Bostic of Marble Hill; one sister, Cletta Carver of Corcoran, Calif.; four brothers, Melvin, Cecil, Elmer and Jude Bostic, all of Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 16. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow at the Hollis Cemetery at Acorn Ridge with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
