Michael Fuqua

Michael Lee Fuqua, the son of Eva Lee Kilmer Fuqua and the late Dale Fuqua, was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Nov. 28, 1963 and died at his mother's home in Dexter on March 29, 2002, at the age of 38. Michael was a resident of Dudley, but had lived most of his life in Dexter. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. On April 4, 1996, he was married to Debbie Morey in Piggott, Ark., she survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Caleb Dale Fuqua of Dudley; by one daughter, Caitlin Lee Fuqua of Dudley; by three step-daughters, Stephanie Hagan of Dexter, April Hagan of Dudley and Amy Hagan of Poplar Bluff; by one brother, Gary Fuqua of Bloomfield; and by his mother, Eva Lee Fuqua of Dexter. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, April 1 from 9 - 11 a.m. Graveside funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Hull of Puxico officiating. Interment will follow with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
