Agnes Speck

Agnes Speck of Jackson and formerly of Anna, Ill., the daughter of the late Julious and Ethel Lasley Hartline, was born June 28, 1913 in Union County, Ill. and died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, at the age of 88. She was formerly a member of the United Methodist Church in Anna and was currently a member of the Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson and a homemaker. On June 27, 1936 she was united in marriage to Clarence Speck and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1992. Survivors include one son, Randy Speck of Dexter; two brothers, Raymond "Cotton" Hartline of Anna, Ill. and Irvin Hartline of Dowell, Ill.; and one sister, Opal Kelley of Valparaiso, Ind. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda White, Cecile Penrod, Dorotha Brussels and Violet Ferguson. Visitation was held today, Tuesday, March 26 from 5 - 8 p.m.. and Wednesday from 8:30 - 11 a.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 in the Crain Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery with Crain Funeral Home in Anna in charge of arrangements.
