Max Miller

Max Robert Miller, son of the late Ethridge and Nellie Patterson Miller was born April 23, 1923 at Puxico and died on April 30, 2003 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 80. Mr. Miller was a retired Lieutenant Colonel Air Force Pilot and Staff Officer. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #310 in Sikeston, V.F.W. in Charleston, D.A.V. in Dexter and a resident of Sikeston. On Nov. 9, 1945, he married Colleen Alsup in St. Louis. Mrs. Miller survives of the home. Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Bob Miller of Sikeston, one daughter, Elizabeth Michailoff of Camano Island, Wash.; and three sisters, Nadine Johnson of Kevil Ky., Jean Killey of Litchfield, Ill. and June Brown of Brooklet, Ga. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Christine Miller-Kindcaid; two brothers; and one sister. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2003 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Hunter Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sikeston. Memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2003 at Hunter Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sikeston with Pastor Rufus McLean officiating. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2003 at 10 a.m. in the Bluff Cemetery in Idalia with Dr. Rev. Tom Bass officiating.
