Jewell Grace Kyle, daughter of the late Everett Earl McClain and Rose Hall McClain, was born on April 7, 1923, in Bertrand and died on April 5, 2003, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Dexter at the age of 79. Mrs. Kyle was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Albert R. Kyle on Aug. 24, 1947, at St. Louis. Mr. Kyle preceded her in death on April 7, 1996. Survivors include one son, Everett R. Kyle of Dexter; one daughter, Marsha Feldmann of Kirkwood; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Earl McClain; three sisters, Wilma Thompson, Evelyn Walters and Martha Groves. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Fred Leist officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
