Willis Edward Middleton, son of the late James Henry Middleton and Eva Sanders Middleton, was born on April 18, 1916, in Dexter and departed his life in the Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at the age of 86. Mr. Middleton was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, retired from the State Highway Department, a former member of the Liberty Township Board and a resident of rural Dexter. He was united in marriage to Charlene Temples on Sept. 6, 1936, at Dexter. Mrs. Middleton survives of the home near Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ann Stroder of Dexter; two grandsons, Todd Stroder and Blake Stroder; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Stroder and Blake Ryan Stroder. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James M. Middleton and Dalton Lee Middleton; two sisters, Mildred Kincy and Nell Followell. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-9 p.m. today, Thursday, March 13, 2003. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery. PAID
