James E. Rudd, son of the late William A. Rudd and Lessie Bell Chappell Rudd, was born on Nov. 20, 1919, at Bogota, Tenn., and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center at Dexter on Sunday, March 9, 2003, at the age of 83. Mr. Rudd was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company at Piedmont, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and a resident of Piedmont. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Rudd of Dexter, Roger Rudd of Charleston, and Nils Rudd of Piedmont; one daughter, Donna Rutherford of Oxnard, Calif.; one sister, Willie Mae Nix of Senath; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Rudd was cremated.
