Edna Betty Hill, the daughter of the late William Henry and Alice Emily Osborne Sharp, was born in Bugbrooke, England, on March 2, 1934, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at the age of 68. Mrs. Hill was a resident of Dexter the past 30 years. She had worked as a clerk at Wal-Mart and a cook at Fiddlers Restaurant in Dexter. She was a member of the Church of England. On May 26, 1956, she was married to Carrol Dean Hill in Bugbrooke, England. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2001. Surviving are two brothers, William Brian Sharp of Bugbrooke Northants, England, Charles Colin Sharp of Guilsborugh Northants, England; two sisters, Maureen Mary Roberts and Florence Jean Russell, both of Bugbrooke Northants, England. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Visitation was held after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, until service time at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Pastor Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of all arrangements.
