Dwight D. Stotts of Sturdivant, the son of Lottie Rogers Meese of Sturdivant and the late Chester Stotts, was born Sept. 23, 1956 at Advance and died March 11, 2002 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 45. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sons, Dwight Stotts, John Stotts and James Stotts, all of Sturdivant; by two brothers, Larry Stotts of Sturdivant and Jeff Rogers of Zalma; by five sisters, Karen Shirrell and Denise Cato, both of Zalma, Joan Wall of Brownwood, Debbie McCall of Sturdivant and Kim Buehler of Gipsy. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by five brothers. Visitation was held at the Morgan Funeral home in Advance on March 12 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services were held, today, Wednesday, March 13, at 1 p.m. in the Morgan Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jack Rogers and Bro. Dale Rogers officiating. Interment followed at the Community Church of Christ Cemetery in Lowndes with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
