Lyle Helm

Lyle Helm, the son of the late John F. and Bell Parrish Helm, was born in Shook, Mo. on Sept. 11, 1906 and died at the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff on March 10, 2002, at the age 95. Mr. Helm had lived in Kirkwood, Mo. for many years where he was employed by Wagner Electric as a foreman. He moved to Wappapello in 1987 and attended the Apostolic Church in Puxico. On April 17, 1937 he was united in marriage to Edith Eleda Haire. She preceded him death on Sept. 20, 1991. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Herman and Norman Helm; and two sisters, Goldie Ricktor and Lucille Rickman. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico on Wednesday, March 13 after 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Skinner of Puxico officiating. Interment will follow in the Helm Cemetery near Wappapello with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
