Cynthia G. Collier, the daughter of the late Grady Edward and Sybil Estell Nunnery Collier, was born in Kennett on July 4, 1961 and died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on March 6, 2002, at the age of 40. Mrs. Collier had lived most of her life in the Bernie and Parma communities. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernie. Surviving are one daughter, Christina Collier of Bristol, Tenn.; five brothers, Ron Collier of Dexter, Gary Collier of Sikeston, Steve Collier of Bernie, Keith Collier of Springfield, Mo., and Alan Collier of Clarkton; three sisters, Linda Snider of Ballwin, Mo., Wanda Onderdonk of North Little Rock, Ark. and Dianne Peterson of Jackson, Ark. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Collier. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, March 9 after 12 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Wiggins, of Dexter, officiating and Rev. Karen Oldham,also of Dexter, assisting. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery near Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Services of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
