Cecil Robbins

Cecil "Skipper" Robbins, the son of the late Clacy W. and Bonnie Robbins, was born in Dexter on Dec. 26, 1946 and died at his home in Dexter on Feb. 25, 2002, at the age of 55. Mr. Robbins, after attending school in Dexter, served four years in the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam. He had spent several years on the East Coast working as a cabinet maker and construction worker. He returned to Dexter one year ago and had attended both the A.R.K. of Hope and the Freedom Worship Centers in Dexter. Surviving are one son, Stephen Robbins; his mother, Dorothy (James W.) Bledsoe of Dexter; three sisters, Debra Morse of Dexter, Nelda Poeppelmeyer of Bloomfield, and Clacy R. Robbins of Houston, Texas; and a special friend, Barbara Nard of Dexter. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Looney and Rev. David Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements. PAID
