William Borden Boner of Bloomfield, son of the late Harry Ephram Boner and Ola Belle Borden Boner, was born Sept. 10, 1914 at Mulkeytown, Ill. and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at the age of 87. Mr. Boner was a retired truck driver for Malden Grain, was of the Baptist faith and a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II. He was united in marriage to Mildred Margaret Dock Boner on Dec. 22, 1937 in Malden, she survives of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Denson Boner of Sikeston and Clifford Boner of Bloomfield; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Visitation was held from 5 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Graveside services were conducted at the Hill Cemetery in rural Bloomfield on Monday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gerald King officiating. Interment followed with Landess Funeral Home of Malden in charge of arrangements.
