Louis M. Hess, 74, of Advance, the son of the late Clifton and Irene Davis Hess, was born Oct. 11, 1927 at Painton and died Feb. 18, 2002, at his home. Louis retired after 35 years as an Operating Engineer for the Local 513. He was a member of the Perkins Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Wanda Eaker on Nov. 30, 1949 at Cape Girardeau and she survives of the home in Advance. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Ron Hess of Cape Girardeau; by one daughter, Lesa Roberts of Bloomfield; by one-half brother, Floyd Davis of Advance; four sisters, Wynona Kemp of Jackson, Dorothy Dannenmueller of Chaffee, Grace Davis and June Crenshaw, both of Advance; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother. Visitation will be held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 4:30 - 8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of arrangements.
