Lottie Harkness, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Alice Hodge Baker, was born near Puxico on Nov. 1, 1907 and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Feb. 18, 2002, at the age of 94. Mrs. Harkness had lived in Stoddard County all her life and moved to Acorn Ridge in 1962. On Dec. 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lamar Harkness in Rockford, Ill., he survives of the home. Besides her husband, she is survived by one step-daughter, April Lovell; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, W.J. Crutchfield and one step-daughter, Judy Finch. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel with Bro. Dale Grissom officiating. Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
