Donald Wayne Patterson, son of the late John Wesley Patterson and Irene Howe Patterson, was born on Sept. 19, 1930 in Rector, Ark. and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Feb. 17, 2002, at the age of 71. Mr. Patterson was a retired truck driver for a frozen food company, a veteran of the United States Army and resident of Dexter. Survivors include one son, Randy Patterson of Dudley; two daughters, Linda Sullivan of Clarkston, Mich. and Connie Honkoski of Meridian, Idaho; two brothers, Paul Patterson of Flint, Mich. and Ray Patterson of Kalkaska, Mich.; two sisters, Eutha Bradshaw of Cross Hill, S.C. and Patricia Samuelson of Fostoria, Mich.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Orval Patterson and William Patterson; and one sister, Veda Warthen. Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m., Monday, Feb.18. Funeral services were conducted, today, Feb. 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Chapel with Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
