Mildred E. Crowe, the daughter of the late Emerson A. and Rena Ross Patterson, was born in Dexter on April 6, 1909 and died at the Beverly Health & Rehab Center in Bloomfield on Feb. 14, 2002, at the age of 92. Mrs. Crowe had lived in Stoddard County all her life and moved to Dexter in 1943. She was a member of the Church of Christ. On Nov. 2, 1924, she was united in marriage to Cecil Crowe in Aid, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2001. Surviving are two sons, Thomas A. Crowe of Dexter and Bobby L. Crowe of Springfield; one daughter, Carol Ann Crowe of Dexter; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Crowe and three sisters. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, Feb. 16 after 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter officiating. Interment will be at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
