Dorothy Ann Henley, daughter of the late George and Myrtie Garner Dunlap, was born at Bell City on Sept. 9, 1910 and died Feb. 7, 2002 at St. Louis, at the age of 91. Mrs. Henley was a former resident of Bloomfield, but had lived in St. Louis the past few years. She attended the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and was a member of the Bloomfield Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #385. On July 5, 1929 she was united in marriage to William Franklin Henley and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1988. Survivors include one son, Carl Henley of O'Fallon; one brother, Garner Dunlap of Bell City; four sisters, Helen Welker of Bloomfield, Mary Myers of Albuquerque, N.M., Dobby Sullivan of Annapolis, Mo. and Ida Armes of Caryville, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Bell City, with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
