James H. "Frog" Young, the son of the late Arthur and Sadie Tankersley Young, was born in Clines Island on Aug. 14, 1921 and died at his home in Dexter on Jan. 21, 2002, at the age of 80. Mr. Young had worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years before moving to Dexter 13-1/2 years ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church of the Nazarene in Dexter. On July 28, 1939 he was united in marriage to Lillian A. Rickman in Dexter, she survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, James E. Young of Dexter; by one daughter, Judy Patterson of Clarkston, Mich.; by one grandchild; by one great-grandchild; and by one brother, Earl Young of Dexter. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel with Rev. M.L. Duffie of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
