Nila Botsch

Nila Jeanie Hampton Botsch, daughter of the late Louie Hampton and Lavern Crabtree Hampton, was born on Nov. 22, 1951 at Poplar Bluff and died in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Jan. 16, 2002 at the age of 50. Ms. Botsch was a first grade teacher at the Oak Grove Elementary School in Poplar Bluff and was a resident of Dexter. Survivors include one son, Nathan Botsch of Jackson; one daughter, Natalie Botsch of Bloomington, Ind.; three brothers, Keith Hampton of Dexter, Larry Hampton of Bernie and Allen Hampton of Parma; two sisters, Doris Harmon of Pontiac, Mich. and Mary Lou Ellis of Wappapello. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Braxton Crabtree. Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
