Glynn Anderson

Glynn Riddle Anderson, 97, passed away on Jan. 04, 2002. She was born in Bernie, Mo., on January 9, 1904. She was married to John "Bill" Anderson who preceded her in death in 1963. She moved to Phoenix in 1980 from Flint, Mich., where she lived for 50 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Chillicothe Business School in Missouri. She was an office manager for a Michigan beverage company for many years. Her favorite pastime was the love of bridge at which she was superb. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra A. Finn (Stephen) of Scottsdale, Az.; her son, Louie Anderson (Sandra) of Holland, Mich.; two beloved nephews, Leon and Joel Swatzell (Sharon), who she raised from childhood; five grandchildren, Thomas Carleton Arnold, Jr., (Cindy), Breck Anderson Arnold (Christine), Whitney Anderson-Jensen (Patrick), Alexa Anderson, Megen Anderson-Latimer (Erik) and four great-grandchildren; Channing and Chase Arnold; Austa and James Jenson. Also her great nephews and niece; Steve, Paul and Dana Swatzell and Bob and Jerry Brown; Vivian Adkins; Maxine and Jack Hickman who loved her so much. We are grateful to the staff who cared for her at Plaza Healthcare, Scottsdale, Az., and to her many extended relatives, old friends and new friends in Scottsdale. She will be remembered as an intelligent woman of great character who was totally unselfish and with a sense of humor that everyone loved. She was dearly loved by all that knew her and will be sorely missed. Private services will be held at a future date.
