Blanche Gertie Cooper, daughter of the late Sam and Gertie Summers Mason, was born at Ardeola, Mo. on June 26, 1915 and died at her home in Bloomfield on Jan. 3, 2002, at the age of 86. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield. On Feb. 26, 1936 she was united in marriage to Raymond Cooper, he preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Cooper of Bloomfield and Roger Cooper of Essex; one daughter, Ramona Kelley of Bloomfield; one brother, Donald Mason of Gooding, Idaho; one sister, Thelma Hasty of Bertrand; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Carson Cooper. Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chuck Clark and Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of all arrangements.
