Adlean Beatrice Bristow of Malden, the daughter of the late Artie Berry Gray and Rosie Ellen White Gray, was born March 18, 1925 in Blytheville, Ark. and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Dec. 25, 2001, at the age of 76. Mrs. Bristow was of the General Baptist faith. She was united in marriage to John W. "Bill" Bristow on July 9, 1945 in Holly Springs, Miss. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1986. She is survived by two sons, Johnnie Bristow of Bernie and Bobby Bristow of Malden; by one daughter, Karen Lacewell of Jackson; by eight grandchildren; and by three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Ellsworth, Rachel Gentry and Naomi Grey; and by one brother, Jack Dempsey Gray. Visitation will be held at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 with Rev. Scott Keller officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park in Malden with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden in charge of arrangements.
