John McFall Sr.

John L. McFall Sr., son of the late George W. McFall and Gertrude McDaniels McFall, was born on Jan. 20, 1936 at Morley and died at his residence at Dexter on Nov. 21, 2001, at the age of 65. Mr. McFall was a retired truck driver, a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS O'Brien and USS Dortch and a member of the American Legion Post 1000 in Dexter. He was united in marriage to Ruby Denney on Jan. 25, 1957 at Delta, she survives of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeff McFall of Dexter and John L. McFall Jr. of Scott City; by one daughter, Gwen Hare of Ava; by one brother, Gendron McFall of Scott City; by nine grandchildren; and by three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin W. McFall and by one sister, Imogene Daniels. Visitation will be held at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 in the Mt. Tabor Church in Ava with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Interment will then follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
