Vader L. Link

Vader L. Link, son of the late Franklin and Mary Magdeline Meinz Link, was born near Bloomfield on Jan. 5, 1922 and died at his home near Bloomfield on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the age of 79. On July 28, 1951, he was united in marriage to Pansy Pauline Kleffer, she survives of the home. He was a teacher for many years in the Portageville School system, as well as being engaged in his family farm by raising cattle. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and had attended the Link Community Church near Bloomfield. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Brenda Jean Gaines of Dexter; by three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sisters, Thelma Knowles and Velma Williams. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel on Friday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Cooper and Rev. Ilene Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of all arrangements.
